Support for learning, wellbeing, and behaviour

Early, holistic, and collaborative support for children, families, and educators.

We work alongside tamariki, whānau, and educators to support learning, wellbeing, behaviour, and connection, with services designed to help every child feel safe, seen, and supported.

More than educational psychology

The Growing Minds Hub has evolved to offer more than educational psychology alone.

We exist because every child is unique — and success looks different for every child. When support is shaped around a child’s strengths, needs, interests, and experiences, they are far more likely to thrive in both learning and life.

Too often, support arrives only once things have already become difficult. Our vision is to provide early, preventative, and collaborative support that strengthens children before they reach crisis point, while also equipping the adults around them with practical tools and confidence.

Support for Common Childhood Challenges

A community where every child is safe, seen, connected, and celebrated

At the heart of The Growing Minds Hub is a belief that wellbeing and learning are deeply connected. Rather than asking children to fit into narrow systems, we focus on flexible, responsive support that helps each child grow in ways that align with who they are.

Our approach is:

  • Child-centred

  • Strength-based

  • Holistic

  • Preventative

  • Collaborative

  • Future-focused

How we support children, families, and educators

We offer support across three key areas each designed to build confidence, capability, and connection around every child.

Individualised support

Tailored support for children and the adults around them, including emotional, behavioural, learning, and neurodiversity-related needs.

The Growing Minds Academy

A developing alternative education programme designed to help children reconnect with learning in meaningful, engaging, and confidence-building ways.

Parent & teacher workshops

Practical workshops for parents, caregivers, educators, schools, and community groups, focused on strategies to better support children.

Every child deserves support that fits who they are.

Support that responds to the whole child

Our individualised support services are grounded in evidence-informed practice and shaped around each child’s wider world — at home, at school, and in the community.

Early, practical, and connected support

We believe children do best when the key adults in their lives are working together, not in isolation.

That is why our approach focuses on support that is:

  • Early rather than reactive

  • Practical and achievable

  • Strength-based and personalised

  • Grounded in both wellbeing and learning

  • Designed to create consistency across home, school, and support settings
